Hiroshi Minato is a contemporary aluminum jewelry artist. While he specializes in men's jewelry, his works have also been popular with women since he debuted in 2014. Currently, his works include necklaces and bracelets. They are solely designed and handcrafted by himself in his home studio in Somerville, MA.
His pieces are asymmetric, yet balanced. They are simple, yet sophisticated. When they look distinctive without overpowering its uniqueness, he feels that his pieces embrace his own unique esthetics. Click to see his creative process.
More than 100 designs of contemporary aluminum necklaces have been made since 2014. Each design comes with a 21-inch black satin cord.
His aluminum cuff bracelets have been popular since their debut in 2023 not only because of the minimalistic style but also because of the squeezable flexibility. One end of each bracelet gets hammered to add a subtle accent.
